When you think of a professional wrestler, your mind typically jumps to violent, hardcore images of highly muscular men like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin or John Cena fighting each other in spectacular events. Whoever you consider, it is doubtful that you would associate these sports entertainers to smart, or even brilliant, fellows. Despite this being a popular opinion, it is far from the whole truth.
In this video, we’ll be going through 6 of the most brilliant wrestlers in history. Here, we’ll cover wrestlers who got a real education at college or university level and have leveraged it outside of the arena. Hence, we won’t take into account wrestlers who merely had smart appearances such as “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase’s personal accountant Irwin R.Schyster, or Bobby “The Brain” Heenan.
It’s important to mention here that Mick Foley, the Hardcore Legend, became a highly successful writer when he sensed that his days in the ring were coming to an end. He has published several New York Times bestsellers, which include two fiction novels, children’s books and four autobiographies. Since he however didn’t graduate, we will not be covering him in this list.
